Parent & Family Fund

As an Anteater parent, you have already made a exceptional investment in your student’s future. Your involvement with the university and support of your student is an important aspect of success at UCI. The UCI Parent & Family Fund (PFF) provides an immediate benefit for today’s students – it’s a great investment for their education. The PFF ensures that your student continues to receive the well-rounded, quality education for which UCI is recognized.

The PFF uses all funds raised for student programs and resources that will immediately enhance an undergraduate student’s education. Student programs and resources provide a wide range of opportunities for students to expand their education beyond the classroom, helping to provide real world experiences and promote healthy lifestyles that can be utilized long after they leave UCI. Gifts to the PFF go to areas within undergraduate student support where the need and opportunities are the greatest.

These areas might include, but are not limited to:

• Student housing and community programs
• Health, wellness and safety programs
• Student Career Center and internship opportunities
• Cross-Cultural Center
• International Center
• UCI Student Center
• Anteater Recreation Center (ARC)
• Access and opportunity scholarships
• Merit based scholarships
• Student clubs and organizations
• Leadership programs

Never before has private support been so important. When UC Irvine was founded in 1965, 70 percent of its funding came from the state of California. While the state of California continues to provides core critical support to UCI, today about 14 percent of UCI’s funding comes from the state.

Participation by every parent is important and gifts of all levels are appreciated. With your support, the PFF will ensure all UCI students the opportunities to further develop the skills and characteristics needed to become the leaders of tomorrow. Together, we can make a difference!
